2022 Books Read and Rankings

Intellectual Wellness: 2022 Books Read and Rankings

2022 was the most diverse reading years for me. Reading 26 books was definitely a stretch until the Fall when crunchy leaves, a long train ride (over 40 hours) and warm coffee propelled my reading habits. This year’s goal is 52 books, thankfully I have active library cards that keep expenses to a minimum :).

I also very much chose books that whispered to my heart. That is the reason you won’t see any books with lower than 3 stars. Books with 1 or 2 star ratings I usually stop reading. I enjoy the practice of reading so much, I can’t continue books that don’t speak to me…. It’s just not worth it. Promise there are no spoilers below, just ratings.

Lastly, in mid 2022 I joined the Read in Colour” book challenge. Learning about the diaspora in varied countries captivated me in a way reading hasn’t done in a long time. Following the journeys of the Aboriginal people of Australia, Iran, Harlem NYC, Sri Lanka, Indigenous people of American, were just a few of incredible paths I peered inside. I definitely plan to continue into 2023. Read in Colour Channel
