It often shows up as constantly pouring into others while neglecting yourself, operating in survival mode, struggling to feel valued, or making decisions from exhaustion rather than wholeness. Many women are running on empty emotionally while trying to pour into everyone else. We are planning for children, spouses, careers, churches, communities, but not always planning for ourselves.

According to Goodreads, I read 92 books last year! 🤯 Before you close the article, full disclosure that included audiobooks, and narrative cookbooks! I love trying new recipes AND I commute to work sometimes by car or plane 😂. I have PLENTY of time to power through many, many, reads.

I do balance it a bit with delicious podcasts, and I’m a one-woman carpool karaoke (yes I sing full-on in the car alone. It hurts no one 🎤).

In my effort to better hydrate, I’ve turned to tea to help my cause. Folks that can down 8 glasses of water a day and keep it moving, bless you. I bow at your discipline…. but that ain’t me. Thankfully, after working with a Dietitian a few moons ago, she de-stigmatized the notion that all must “drink 8” to properly hydrate. That incorporating other natural liquids is just fine as well.
